Kish
Harbor Managing,
development and reconstruction of the harbor is currently under supervision of
Kish Trading Co. The
harbor possesses some indoor & outdoor warehouses, passenger terminal end
other facilities like restaurant, praying room and green plantation. The
jetty of the Kish port is 700 meters long with varying widths of five, six or
eight meters at different intervals. The
present anchorage is 4.7 meters deep, making it possible for the trawlers up to
a capacity of 2000 tones to load and unload consignments at the dock. Dodging
of the present anchorage to a depth of 7.5 meters, expansion of the jetty to a
width of 12 meters and the construction of new piers, are expected to enable
even the 7000 - tone ships to dock. Has
a variety of facilities including a 600 square meters covered warehouse, an
open-air warehouse, a 20000 square meter container storage, and a number of
administrative building and installations. |
